Staff
The girls competitive team staff is under the coaching direction of : Zsolt "Kenobi" Bense, joined Aspire in 2014 and is one of the most respected in the business. Coach Kenobi holds a Masters in Physical Education and is a safety-certified USAG Pro-member. With years of gymnastics experience, including 20 years of competitive gymnastics (which includes being a 2 time national champion in Hungarian college gymnastics) and 28 years of coaching experience-he has produced several of the country's finest state, regional and national champions.
Pam Hyder joined the Aspire coaching staff in 2019. Pam holds an associate's degree in child development and over 20 years teaching experience in pre-k. A former gymnast herself, Pam competed in Oklahoma up through level 10. She has coached competitive programs for over 22 years and has had numerous state, regional and national champions.
Jordan Salsberg also joined Aspire in 2014. She comes from the beautiful Gulfport Mississippi area. Jordan graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Kinesiology Exercise Science. In her time at the University of Arkansas she was a member of the Arkansas Lady Gymbacks, capping off a 20 year competitive gymnastics career that included a national beam championship. Jordan exhibits great leadership and is a wonderful motivator encouraging the girls to perform to their highest potential. She has also coached numerous state, regional and national champions.
Roy Barskey joined the Aspire coaching staff in August of 2016. Also a former gymnast, this California native competed for both San Jose State University and Washington State University. In his career he has developed National Junior Elite competitors; Division 1 college competitors; State, Regional, and National champions; and members of the Junior Olympic National Team. Roy has a total of 30 years coaching experience including positions as compulsory director, assistant optional coach, team consultant, head coach and girls team director. In addition to coaching gymnastics, Roy holds a Doctor of Ministry degree, and his career also includes time as a pastor and a high school teacher. Roy's extensive experience contributes greatly to Aspire's competitive success.
The team coaching staff are all USAG certified and trained to USAG specification. Aspire is committed to the ongoing education of its competitive team coaches. With the number of hours that the team coaches interact with the athletes, it is natural that the coaches will be a major contributors in the overall development of your children. This is a responsibility that is not taken lightly. Aspire holds its coaches to a high standard in this regard.
